We love our Jewelry to the Rescue fundraisers! Friends of Manatee County Animal Services (FoMCAS) has been fortunate to host at least two Jewelry to the Rescue events every year for the last five years. The attendees love coming to the event because the variety and selection of jewelry changes for each event with new items. Because of Linnea's dedication to her non profit, Friends of Manatee County Animal Services has consistently raised $1,000 to $3,000 at each event. Prices are very reasonable and the events are simple to execute with a few volunteers. All of the donated jewelry has been cleaned, priced and tagged and ready to be sold. Linnea has created a win win for non profits to raise funds in a simple and fun way. Thank you Linnea for your dedication!

Jewelry to the Rescue has helped the youth served by Schoolhouse Link for several years now. It is such an easy fund raiser and Linnea is a pleasure to work with every time. All the money raised at the jewelry show goes directly to college scholarships for our Unaccompanied Homeless Youth. It has made such a difference to these youth who want to get out of their difficult situations and have a career that will give them financial and housing stability.
We have several youth currently in college and progressing successfully that would not have had this opportunity without the scholarships funded by our Jewelry to the Rescue fund raiser. We are so grateful to Linnea and Jewelry to the Rescue!

Thank you again for the wonderful Jewelry fundraiser. We raised almost $2000.00 this time. Since we started fundraising with you, we have raised much needed money for the care of the cats in our care! We love this way of raising funds and the ladies that shop the wonderful choices of jewelry are always excited to see you come back. It has been our easiest way to raise funds for our group ever! Animal Network has been the grateful recipient of Jewelry to the Rescue's fabulous program for many years. It's amazing that all of the jewelry is provided at no charge and that all of the proceeds go to the host charity. Linnea demonstrates the most appealing manner to exhibit each jewelry piece and makes suggestions as to how to have the most productive event while having a lot of fun. As one event ends, we always look forward to our next one. Pam Freni, President Animal Network
Every year in February on the Saturday before Valentine’s Day, the Historical Society of Sarasota County organizes a fundraiser called Sparkly Saturday, which is a show and sale of gently used, pre-owned jewelry. It is one of our most popular events of the season and Linnea Appleby’s Jewelry to the Rescue makes it possible.
Linnea's philanthropic mission is unique. She collects lovely donated jewelry, cleans and repairs all the pieces and then gives them to a non-profit organization to sell in a one-day fundraiser. She drops off the jewelry the day before the event and picks up what has not sold at the end of the next day.
She and her helpers are truly a dream team, supplying organizations with an easy and truly enjoyable way to earn funds. In our case, we maintain two historic properties at Pioneer Park and Sparkly Saturday is held in one of them, the Crocker Memorial Church. The jewelry sale always brings new (and plenty of returning) shoppers to our site and often they become members of the Historical Society.
We all have a good time and we always make money to help support history education and our two historic structures. Thank you, Jewelry to the Rescue! You make a difference in our community.
Marsha Fottler, President, Historical Society of Sarasota County.
